About Me / Contact Me

AuthorI’m so glad you have visited Homeschool through Highschool!

I began homeschooling my two teenage grandchildren in 2003. I began with the oldest, at her request, toward the end of 7th grade. We hit the floor running & haven’t stopped! She has never looked back and is one of the biggest home school advocates I know :)

The following September, my youngest grandchild said that he would like to try homeschooling. At the end of the year, I asked him what he wanted to do – continue at home or return to public school. Without hesitation, he said he wanted to stay home and that has continued to be his anwer.

It has been a very good experience for all of us, not that there aren’t challenges! The way we do things is at times, quite unconventional – a mild understatement! – but that is when the best learning & relationship building has taken place. I so love having them around and am learning, I’m sure, far more than they!

About two years into it, God began to lay on my heart the desire to build a website to encourage and support other homeschoolers, but more specifically, those in the highschool years. I have witnessed, personally, and on online forums, etc., the frequent abandonment of homeschoolers due to fear of “I don’t think I can do it.” (I know that is not always the case.)

My desire is that Homeschool through Highschool will be a place where those who desire to “run the race to the finish” will find the resources they need, a safe place to ask questions and a place to help & be helped, encourage & be encouraged.

Please feel free to contact me at anytime, with questions, suggestions, comments…whatever. I want this to be your space!

In Christ,
Sue
