High School Diplomas for Homeschool Graduates
You’ve done it! Your child has completed their home school highschool education and is ready to graduate. Wow! In some ways it seems like just yesterday when you began homeschooling and in other ways, it seems like a lifetime ago. But, nonetheless, the day is here & you want to give your high school grad a diploma in recognition of their accomplishment (and yours!
).
Very seldom do colleges or workplaces ask to see a diploma – most often, it’s the transcript that bears the greater weight & we’ll talk about transcripts in days to come. But for now, let’s look at some of the ways you can inexpensively or even freely produce the important-to-your-highschool-graduate diploma.
There are a number of ways to generate a diploma for your home education graduation, a really nice diploma for your special teen. For example, Free Diploma Templates offers downloadable templates that you can customize with your school name & child’s name using Word or Photoshop.
Microsoft also offers two high school diploma templates for download. One design is called “Formal”, the other “Fancy”. Both can be modified with your information using Word.
Covenant College is another site that offers downloadable and editable diploma & transcript templates. You will need to scroll about halfway down the page to find the files.
To really spiff it up, add your state’s seal! You can download it at Netstate.com.
VDM Educator Services offers a reasonably priced and impressive looking downloadable diploma template for 6.00. They also offer a downloadable transcript for 6.00. You can order both for 9.00
Another option is provided by Homeschool Diploma, a family owned business based in Wisconsin. In addition to a homeschool diploma, they offer a lovely assortment of diploma covers and a selection of embossers for an official embossed seal. Prices vary depending upon the product(s) chosen. (While you’re there, check out the rest of the cool graduation stuff they offer!)
Have some fun and reward your highschooler’s achievement by presenting them with a diploma – yet another expression of your love for them!
