50 Best Websites for Homeschooling Directory!
Hot off the presses! Finally!!! 50 Best Websites for Homeschooling Highschool is a directory that I have been working on for months and finally it is ready – yea!!!!
This terrific resource (if I do say so myself
) features 50 of the best and FREE online resources for home educated highschoolers.
When we began homeschool smack-dab in the middle of the school year, I frantically searched the web for sites appropriate for teens. I easily found a lot of information for younger grades, but finding sites appropriate for the middle or high school ages proved considerably more difficult.
As a result, I specifically targeted sites offering high school level information, lessons, etc., for this directory. The cool thing is many, if not most of these sites, also offer materials suitable for younger students as well, so all of your kids can work on the same thing, reducing your workload. Some of these sites even offer complete curricula including teacher’s materials; others offer incredible information & resources to supplement other resources you may be using.
So what do you get in this directory?
- 36 pages of websites broken down by subject area
- Clickable links that take you directly to the site
- Ample room to take notes about how you could best use the site for your needs
- A summary of what the site is about
- Indicators to let you know if a particular website offers materials for younger students and/or offers the material in Spanish
My suggestion to make best use of this product is to keep a copy of the directory open on your computer so you can easily click on the website links and print out a copy so you can easily make your notes. (By the way, 50 Best Websites is available for immediate download.)
I am really excited about this resource and have actually begun working on Volume 2! For more information Click on the picture in the upper left hand corner or click here.
Let me know what you think.
